La Bamba is a folk song whose origins can be traced to the Mexican state of Veracruz over 300 years ago. It is perhaps best known from a 1958 adaptation by Ritchie Valens, born May, 13 1941, a top 40 hit the U.S. charts and one of early rock and roll’s best-known songs.
La Bomba
1½ oz. Tequila
½ oz. Cointreau
1½ oz. Pineapple Juice
1½ oz. Orange Juice
Splash Grenadine
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into a cocktail glass.
