The New York Mets are a professional baseball team based in Flushing, Queens, in New York City, New York. The Mets are a member of the Eastern Division of Major League Baseball’s National League. From 1964 to the present, the Mets have played in Shea Stadium. In 2009, they will move into their new home, Citi Field.
The Mets name originates from the New York Metropolitans, an 1880s baseball club. They are nicknamed the Amazin’ Mets, or simply the Amazin’s. An expansion franchise, the club was founded in Manhattan in 1962and played their first game on April 11th. Then based in the historic Polo Grounds, the Mets shared the venue with the New York Jets for two years, until Shea was completed. During their history, the Mets have won two World Series titles (1969, 1986) and four National League pennants (1969, 1973, 1986, 2000).

1 oz. Sweet Vermouth
1 tsp. fine sugar or simple syrup
Dash of Bitters
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a cocktail glass.
Mexico City is the capital city of Mexico. It is the most important economic, industrial and cultural center in the country, and the most populous city with 8,720,916 inhabitants in 2005.
Mexico (Me-hi-co) City was founded as Mexico-Tenochtitlan in March 18, 1325 by the Nahua Aztec or Mexican tribe, which rapidly became the capital of a sophisticated growing empire. Located on a small island on the middle of Lake Texcoco, the layout of the city forced the Aztecs to build an artificial island and create a series of canals to allow the growth of the metropolis. A number of causeways were also constructed from the shoreline to the central island. These causeways are the foundation of the various calzadas which are today principal avenues in Mexico City. In fact, although the lake was salty, dams built by the Aztecs kept the city surrounded by clear water from the rivers that fed the lake.
Invented at Tres Agaves in San Francisco, bartender Jacques Bezuidenhout was trying to find a way to feature Oaky Anejo Tequila. Cherry Heering, a Danish liqueur made with cherry brandy, balances the woody flavor.

2 oz. Tequila
½ oz. Sweet Vermouth
½ oz. Cherry Heering or a Cherry Liqueur
3 Brandied Cherries, skewered on a pick
Fill a pint glass with ice and add the Tequila, Vermouth and Cherry Heering. Stir well and strain into a chilled coupe (Champagne saucer). Garnish with the skewered cherries.
The Boston Massacre refers to an incident involving the deaths of five civilians at the hands of British troops on March 5, 1770, the legal aftermath of which helped spark the rebellion in some of the British colonies in America which culminated in the American Revolution. A tense situation due to a heavy British military presence in Boston boiled over to incite brawls between soldiers and civilians, and eventually led to troops discharging their muskets after being attacked by a rioting crowd. Three civilians were killed at the scene of the shooting, and two died after the incident.
